Ashiana Humanitarian Network will advance the interests of vulnerable communities in developing countries from which persons flee persecution, insecurity and deprivation to access support, education, resources and capacity, and to pursue sustainable development.
We will do this by:
- Partnering with communities to understand their needs and aspirations and empowering them to redress their disadvantage and thrive
- Identifying gaps in support, services and infrastructure available to vulnerable communities in developing countries in order to target work and impact
- Collaborating with and raising awareness of other providers to support vulnerable communities to increase access and impact
- Connecting vulnerable communities in developing countries with individuals, non-government organisations and related community members in Australia
- Facilitating access to health, education, food, water, sanitation, shelter, decent work, development and associated infrastructure and resources, which addresses both immediate needs and long term development goals
- Raising public awareness in Australia of the needs and aspirations of vulnerable communities in developing countries and fostering their support for associated assistance and funding.
