Ashiana Humanitarian Network will provide support and practical assistance to refugees, asylum seekers and humanitarian entrants in Australia and their families to find safety, enduring protection, justice, development and community.

We will do this by:

  1. Engaging with these communities to understand their needs and aspirations
  2. Building networks and capacity within local migrant communities to support the resettlement of refugees, asylum seekers, humanitarian entrants and their families
  3. Facilitating access to services and resettlement supports which addresses both immediate needs and long term development goals
  4. Identifying gaps in support available to these communities in order to target work and impact and supporting other benevolent organisations providing assistance
  5. Facilitating access to justice through sharing information, cultural and community consulting and referrals to advocates
  6. Supporting those in transit countries or at risk of becoming displaced to secure safe passage and permanent protection
  7. Advocating for the rights and interests of refugees, asylum seekers and humanitarian entrants and their families in seeking policy and legal reforms that recognise, protect and promote their rights and interests, and access to justice, enduring protection and family reunion
  8. Raising public awareness and support in Australia of the needs and aspirations of refugees, asylum seekers and humanitarian entrants and their families.
